The Street Enters the House by Umberto Bocconi

$34.23 CAD

The first thing that hits me is the purple. I love how it runs through the sides of the buildings and pools around the bottom of the painting.

This is one of those pictures you can stare at for ages and keep finding new things. A figure on a balcony. People that almost look like they’re on stilts, building something. Shapes and bodies hidden inside all the movement.

It kind of looks like a city seen when you’re really drunk. Distorted, colourful, chaotic, but somehow very cool.

Painted in 1911, The Street Enters the House is part of the Italian Futurism movement.

The longer I look at it, the more stuff I find.
