Persian Nightingales by Paul Klee

CHF 11.77

The first thing this reminds me of is one of those mobiles that hangs over a crib. I originally found this piece while looking for artwork related to sleep, and somehow I find it really soothing.

I love the birds and the muted colours, especially the purples and blues. Everything feels soft without being boring.

It’s also one of those paintings where the longer you look, the more little shapes and details you start noticing. That’s my kind of art. Something that looks simple at first and then slowly gives you more.

This is exactly the kind of thing I’d have in a bedroom.

Painted in 1917, Persian Nightingales is a watercolor by Paul Klee. It mixes birds, geometric shapes and little symbols into something that feels somewhere between a picture, a pattern and an imagined world.

Size: 8 × 10 in / 20.3 × 25.4 cm

This is one of the smaller prints in the collection so I can keep the image quality high. I think it works especially well as part of a group of smaller artworks on a wall.
